There is even a place called "Loma Mar". like what is that. they have a store there, but I guess their second closest one is Pescadero (not STP in the other direction.)

Not everyone lives in the middle of a city. It's pretty standard for people to have to drive to the store. I'm pretty lucky, there is a supermarket near me. If it wasn't, I'd be driving twenty minutes for food.

IT's a ten-minute drive, roughly, to get to the little stores in town. A big box grocery store is 30-35 minutes away.

You plan your shopping, bring a list, and make sure you get what you need.

...BTW so annoyed with my new carbon monoxide detector (not yet mounted). The new and old holes are spaced different by like 1/4" inch, or so ...

It’s a good thing you live in the city. Otherwise this would involve a carriage trip to the ol’ general store and three days travel time.

Blue stripe is factory paint...which I mildly dislike. Actually I don't necessarily dislike it but I don't like it. I tried the red only because I had a small spool of that tape in my stash of Odd Things To Keep. The bottom pic is with a purple stripe because purple.
