To me, the blue collar nature of Naval aviators shows up un that beautiful grime. Sorta of a “Working Persons* Pilot” feel.

My grandfather was a WWII Navy vet. All he ever wanted to do was fly. RC models were as close as he ever got. He built plenty of Navy aircraft including some float planes he would fly off his pond in PA.

Long live Navy grime.

Grunt Grime is available in Yuma, for their Air Show,
I had to talk with Harrier & Osprey pilots that sneak up on us out in the desert.
but the smell, of kerosine/Jet fuel leaks, the streaks of it everywhere, puddles, but no fire.

strange I just spent a few days with an Airborne Ranger cook. Apparently the commander of the Ranger Battalion decided even the cooks need to go through Ranger school.

you can see him at 1:55 attacking Kuma Mana with a knife.

Well, the only reason he was a cook (in Kentucky) is because he couldn't return to his unit (of which he was a Sargent) after he broke his back.
FWIW, he always told me and brothers "Whatever you do, don't ever join the army!" (I couldn't have anyway due to defects)
 
I joined the Army cus I didnae haf enof money to pay for college. Yeah I got an education, maybe not the one I expected.
