I bought one four years ago. Now I see them everywhere. Even Filipino grandfathers wear them!!

They're like the SUV of casual jackets.

God help me.

I bought a North Face parka in 1974. I think it was around $90, which was a lot of money back then. It was warm enough I only needed to wear a t-shirt under it even in weather well below zero. After I moved to California I had no need for it except when I went back to Wisconsin for Christmas, so it sat in my mother's closet for several years. I think my brother-in-law has it now and still uses it when it gets real cold. Very high quality stuff, built to last:thumbup

:laughing I still need that patch.

What bugs me more it people wearing Fox, FMF, and other moto wear when they don't even ride.

Yeah, on our last trip to Europe, I really noticed that. Venice was pretty much a sea of North Face fleece jackets.

Damn them for making a high quality popular piece of clothing!

Exactly. I buy quality stuff that lasts forever. North Face fits that bill. Couldn't care less whether their name was on it. I'll be skiing this weekend in a 25 year old NF pull over.

Increased visibility also due to the fact that this is one of the more popular brands to counterfeit.

The NF seconds store in Berkley along with REI was on my shopping loop. I bought some killer luggage (80's ski trips) that hasn't wore out yet. But I have outgrown the size range in clothing for NF & Patagonia (XXL)

Brands are for sheep, I weave and cobble everything I wear myself. :x
