My plan is to bring old gear that I have been considering getting rid of. I figure I will use it for the trip and donate it to a local after the ride. I have an old pair of MX boots and full textile gear. I might bring my knee guards/braces to wear, but I wouldn't be leaving those behind.

We don't ride motorcycles in Lahore.

We start off from islamabad which is 4 hours north n in the foothills. First day on the motorcycles is going to be hot and it's starts getting a lot better by the 2nd day.

I need a favor from everyone and need some positive mojo thrown my way. I have been battling Gout for the past few weeks and was actually admitted to the hospital for a couple of nights this week. People who have never had gout have no idea how much pain it involves. I have an exceptionally high pain threshold but my foot, ankle, and knee are swollen and my knee is twice the size of the other.

Sorry you are in pain, I've never experienced gout but pain sucks no matter how it comes at you.

Ouch. I have had a taste of that pain. There are meds to reduce uric acid level, and I guess you know to drink plenty of water.

Thx for the mojo everyone. I'm on meds to flush out the uric acids as well as decrease inflammation and to deal with the pain. I get gout on a regular basis and I call it my male menstruation cycle. However, this episode has been much longer than usual and affecting several different areas. The reason for my hospital admission was because I suffered a Cortisone flare after receiving injections in my toe and ankle joints.

My ankle and knee have improved greatly but I have one gouty area on top of my foot in the Metatarsus area. The foot is so swollen that I cant get it into any shoe or boot.
