I was thinking of you due to your FYI post
about M-4, because I wound up going that way
after all ... basically took your FH-7 workaround to M-4
to M-2 to M-22, what I now think of as
"oobus country" ...

Had never explored that way, and it's
now my favorite part of Mendo ...
saw a huge black bear on M-2 on Thursday,
he almost posed for a photo ... :laughing
that whole area is epic!

Hope your bike is running and
that I'll see you here in Weaverville
tomorrow ...

Always wanted to camp at the Black Rock on Mill Creek. There is a small waterfall and beautiful pool under the Black Rock that I've wanted to take a swim in. Would be good to do when it has cooled down a bit.
