Fentanyl is safe and extremely effective when administered in the correct dosage by medical professionals

Yeah, there is no reason not to accept it in medical circumstances unless he has a pre-existing problem with opioids.

my dude recently underwent a medical procedure. when they let me into recovery with him, it broke my heart - how much pain he was in. the nurse said stand back, she was going to give him fentanyl. my response? grabbed her wrist and said, THE HELL YOU WILL!

I said the same thing to some EMTs when they offered me some while driving me to the hospital. They reassured me it wouldn’t kill me. It didn’t, obviously. I have no desire to try that again.

One problem with surgical propofol is that it resets the opiate threshold so high that lesser drugs won’t touch the bad pain until weaned off that pain via other very strong meds titrating down over time. No one should suffer needlessly, these meds can be administered properly.

yeah - he never takes anything for pain, regardless of how bad it is. he’ll occasionally take an anti inflammatory, but that’s it. he was non-responsive when the nurse tried talking to him, so i stopped her from giving him the fentanyl. he knew i was there, and he would have been pissed at me later if i hadn’t have stopped her.
