4/24 - Berryessa - Perry's Deli lunch run

Nothing too crazy;

Meet: 9:30am
KSU: 10:00am
Where: Starbucks in Cordelia (Fairfield)

What:

1. let me know if you are coming so I know to expect you
2. show up before 10am
3. we ride to Middletown via fun roads
4. we eat lunch at Perry's Deli
5. we ride back a slightly different route which is also fun
6. total ride is about 150 miles, with some breaks

Bring:

1. A maintained motorcycle
2. A full tank of gas. First gas stop is at 78 miles.
3. Your awesome self

This may be a challenging day for people new to riding, but if you are looking for a challenge, I don't mind you coming along. Just remember to ride your own ride. It's a short enough day that we can be flexible.

10am KSU gives us plenty of time to be back by a reasonable time, and I'm used to riding with a bunch of snowflakes who need their beauty sleep

Missed another one Nate.
Set up a Mines road ride Nate on a Sunday in the next 2-4 weeks. I'll come your way another time. I'm sure it's closer for your group. I live in Aptos...you should come down and ride Old San Jose Rd from Soquel to Summit Rd and out to Boulder Creek and down Hwy 9 to Hwy 35 Skyline to Hwy 84 to the coast. Nice little ride...better than Pope Valley...IMO.

Whats the road like at the moment? Much kibble? I've been meaning to go check it out.

Soquel is a long way to go for a start for me :P I've avoided anything south mostly because I find every time I go that way it's been a shit show with traffic.

If you take the Bear Creek exit off 17 you can avoid quite a lot of the traffic. Good things come to those that wait? Traffic is almost unavoidable these days. Mines is good...I love a little kibble. Mines Rd conditions have never been an issue...the issue is usually whether the Junction is open.

I'll put up a route and pm you...come down for a ride. I don't like long rides either, but I try and do a few just to prove to myself I'm not over the hill just yet.

It's not the distance, it's the slab and just doing slab in traffic splitting the whole way to get somewhere. Its too much like my daily commute.

would probably float my boat.

I think Hwy 236 through Big Basin is still closed since the fire last year.
