Priced some Gerbing gear. One of these days...but not for this trip. Will layer up and leave some layers of green in my wallet.

OK looks like we've all been around the block a few times, but I just want to cover a few basic things.

1. You are responsible for your own safety. Always ride within your limits. No competition please.

2. Do not bring a bike that is not properly maintained and checked over. Preventable breakdowns are inconsiderate to the group.

3. Someone will sweep. For everyone else, polite passing is allowed.

4. Staying together is optional, especially in the twisties. We *will* regroup at each planned stop, and everyone should know where that is. If you want to make an unplanned stop for photos or whatever without everyone else behind you stopping, show a thumbs-up so they know you are OK.

5. If there *is* a mishap or breakdown, the ride will continue after doing whatever makes sense.

6. If one person fails to show at a stop we'll try to reach their cell phone. If that fails and it's not the sweep, we may assume they messed up on directions and continue without them. For other situations we are likely to assume the sweep is taking care of things and a new sweep will be assigned.

7. If you break off from the group, tell someone first.

8. If a LEO pulls someone over, the rest will go on ahead and then wait someplace where it's safe and legal to do so (which might be the next planned stop).

9. Have fun!

We got up to 16 at one point, but I missed it by only a couple.

Rod, just an FYI. Bridgeport may be a good spot for a short butt break and to check out the the lake trout (wating to be mounted) in the freezer that's out in front of Ken's Sporting Goods store on Main Street.

Might be a little early in the season, but here's a sample of what might be in the blue Ice-a-box.

Changed my mind about this. Let's do introductions and the pre-ride discussion/orientation at the stop in Stockton. Copperopolis can just be a rest stop.

I'd like to shoot for 15 minutes at rest-only stops and 20 minutes at gas stops.

That's fine. Could do that instead of or in addition to the campground, depending on how everyone feels after lunch.

Thanks Bruce, great pics!

Obviously I made it home also.

We had 8 riders - bikeama, BillSmith, boney, FLH03RIDER, rodr, sv2007, sweeping winger and The Smokester. A fun group and thankfully no "incidents" on this long and adventurous day on amazing roads. It was cool to have a group ride where everyone could do their own thing when they wanted, and still meet up at the next stop.

I have quite a few pics and videos to go through, and will post up some stuff in the next couple of days.

Thanks gents!
