It was a nice morning, only a few cars.
This is the bike that went on the adventure. Like it or not it had to wake up and ride.

The road up to Mt Tam has loose gravel most of the way up, signs are posted.
Ridgecrest road has some loose gravel also, but the view its spectacular. It's Autumn and it looks like alot of the trees are sheeding. FairfaxBolinas Rd. this is a tight turn which I went wide with all that crap on the road . Once you get pass the dam the road is pretty much clear.

Cross Richmond bridge got out to Berkeley but can't find Skyline or the Wall, but was able to find hwy24 to Walnut Creek and found NorthGate Rd. going up to Mt. Diablo. I thought I was in for a long ride when I saw this sign

Made it up to the intersection where you have to pay a $2 fee for using the road. Got up to the top, speed limit up here is 20mph and 15mph .
I don't know what is in the pic , but it looks like a bomb exploded

There was only one other rider at the Junction when I was there, then I was off going up to Mt. Hamilton. Nice fast stretch in the valley before going up the Mt.

Here is a closer look at the gravel. It's sort of like the loose gravel on the bottom of JamisonCreek.
