A trip to Auvergne for the Hayabusa / XX meeting in France
It took me time to finally put the picts together but here they are.
Last month I went to central France with the Hayabusa, loaded with T-shirts, for a three day bash at a biker's lodge, owned by a dutch guy. I went for A 800 mile trip accross France, using only back roads. No picts of the roads, as I really had to get going, but ehere are the ones of the stay. There I met with super nice couple of brits John and Dawn. We had a blast the first night and got a lot of beer to drink. Sadly they had to witness the only accident of the meeting, that, even more sadly, ended up with one dead motorcyclist and two others badly hurt. Some dude fell asleep in his car after a long trip and was heading in the ditch when he hit the bikes. RIP Patrick. Leaving for the trip I got the Busa loaded with 120 T-shirts. 400 miles later I arrived just in time to see the rain. It started about two minutes upon my arrival. The motorcycle gods where with me. First bikes to come. Needless to say that my license plate went noticed. Next morning I saw this XX and noticed the exquisit paint job on it. Later that day it's owner passed away while riding it. Cool dude too. Ready to take off. There were 41 XX, 12 Busas and some other bikes. The yellow jacket belongs to one of the guys that took care of road security. They did an awsome job at blocking intersections. We rode 4 groups of about 20 bikes each and met at various spots. John, from Cheafield, England. Probably puzzled by all that french talking. Holala John. Cadoudal, showing off his colors. This guy is LAAAARGE.

That paint job was impeccable. The owner went through the trouble of filling the blinkers hole...I would have gotten a nice set of shark skins myself
![]() French and Brits finally made up. Arriving at the restaurant. That road was insane, and upon arrival, another busa and I went back down and up at a slighly faster speed than when we were in the group. Rhaaaaaaa, Lovelyyyy. The restaurant. We were 115 people and we all ate warm at the same time. Amazing job. Plus we got to eat traditionnal Auvergnate food. Yum! This lady put a pretty cool show. Her instrument is called a "Vielle a roue" Weird sound kinda like a violin fucked an accordeon. The girls waiting Good to see her with me again

Great pictures.
I'd be really interested in hearing the details of having your bike shipped over there. Like cost, time, and red tape.

Inside Spoontonik in the Creek
No piscine couverte and no autobahn for me yet. I might, however, get to Germany in Nov. I sure hope to hit some cool parts of happy freeway. Grffe, I sure miss California, but this place is cool too and I got family here. I just bought an appartment and I am redoing the inside. Fun activity indeed. I took picts of the last weekend trip, I shall put them together for the web.
