Talking rumpofMorgan and wazzuFrat-o run to the hills (cue Iron Maden)

Went on a run up to Alpine Lake on highway 4 today. There is something that doesn't feel right about snow and motorcycles but it was warm and the snow was melting. When all was said and done about 12.5 hours on the road and a little over 400 Miles

I will post my pics tomorrow. This was actually quite the adventure - Fred discovered a new road or 2 that I probably never would have tried on my own. Good times.

Note to self: get more than 5.5 hours of sleep before attempting such a journey.

Run to the Hills, Stage One: Snow Bollocks.

a couple miles into the snow zone, maybe 5500 ft:

snow is getting deeper:

and deeper:

and so on...

~7000 ft

I saw this lady hitchhiking and stupidly decided it would be a larf to pick her up, even though she had no gear and insisted on sitting backwards (maybe so she could check out Fred )

After a few miles - tragedy! She fell off, leaving only her thorax and a disturbing wet spot. I think she may have jumped off after a passed a vanagon full of stoners reeking of muggles. She's probably shooting acid and smoking heroin right now, the hussy!

Run to the Hills, Stage Two: Mmm-Mmm Goaty Goodness!

Descending below the snow line again, we checked out some roads that looked good on the map, but which we knew nothing about. I'm not going to tell you which roads these were because they were too much fun.

After this bit we latched onto rt 26 and started heading back. That part was too much fun to spoil by stopping and taking pix, so that's all I have.

Too bad about your view in most of those pics, Morgan. At least he had his pants pulled all the way up.
