Sierra Passes Ride 7/16/06
Original Ride plan thread
http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...hreadid=170473 Several riders today road the Sierra passes. Hwy 108 hwy 88 and hwy 4. Group got seperated in Angels camp two riders took hwy 4 everyone else hwy 49 to hwy 108. Believe it or not regrouped in the town of Walker on hwy 395, amazing ![]() I got mixed up on ETA to the Start meet. Missed it by 30-45 minutes late. Decided to make insane time(25 minutes to travel 45 miles) to meet spot in Angels camp. Thank goodness for parrallel, No LEO, lightly traveled, straight, good roads, nothing but orchards - farm roads ![]() Got there five minutes before anyone else ![]() ![]() |

Reality98 and I took Hwy 4 by mistake. I was perplexed why we haven't caught up to everyone by now. Here in Markeyville relaxing at the General Store.

I read on other forum something about having lunch at Walker Burger. It didn't make sense to travel South like that from Hwy 4 to Walker on hwy 395. Reality98 and I resigned to not finding the others. Decided to go South to catch hwy 108 back.
No one at Walker Burger, had Lunch. Geared up and left. 1/4 mile down the road, We see in a Deli parking lot, Halfwing combing his hair ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Keep an eye out for murals. Seen allot in the Sierras and Deserts. Many buildings are sporting them.

Last group stop. The building is empty getting remodeled. If you didn't know, signs was a 3x5 card, easy to miss. It's the future Sheriff's Department heheh.
From here Riders split up in three directions. Most continued on Hwy 26 to later connect to Hwy 12. Two North on Hwy 49 towards Sacramento. I went South hwy 49 to Hwy 4 . ![]() Last edited by Bronto; 07-17-2006 at 12:01 AM.. |
