I've done 2 Sierra pass rides this summer. My first was your 108 to 89 and back on 4. The second was 120 through Tuolomne Meadows and back on 88. It sure is purdy.

Glad you had a good time, CC71. I might be going w/some peeps to "the passes" in a couple weeks ---> 4, 89, 395, back on 108.

CC71 and plumber - is it difficult/tricky or just plain fun?

I see you list Newark as your location. The 4/89/395/108 loop was about 330 miles from Tracy. The 120/395/89/88 loop was 410 miles from Tracy. They both took about 8 hours with stops. The 120/88 loop is on faster roads. Ebbets Pass (highway 4) is an undivided road with a lot of switchbacks. It's not unlike Mt. Hamilton in places.

It's getting colder in the passes. I did the 120/88 loop about a month ago. I left early and reached Yosemite before 7 am. The thermometer on the RT was reading in the high 30s until it warmed up a bit.

Me and some friends go over 108 every year but since we are having so much fun we never stop to take any pics. The back side of 108 is one of the best roads evaaar!
