Great pic! That is definitely the Feather River Canyon - Highway 70!
Problem is, now I have another forum to check out. <sigh> Oh well. Hello, Message Board Anonymous? Yeah, I think I have a problem. ![]() ![]() |

This one is wild too. Been there, done that (me as the guy in back on the sportbike). Not fun. Sand blasted the paint off the air scoop on the bottom of bike. Have this new rule, no gravel. Sometime I'll have evolve into the GS after I run out of paved roads!

oh jeez... after my performance up on 108, I'd be trying to back the bike into turns a la flattracking... so much easier to steer that way.... NOT!
does look fun tho'.

.... you know it, running several miles down a dirt road on a sport-bike, idling along at just slow enough not to lose it, and just fast enough to stay vertical... wheels sliding side-to-side... fun fun
![]() We went to the "City of Rocks" in Idaho via this "method" ... and I even went rock climbing in nearly full gear ![]() ...also rode up to Bodie, CA on a similar dirt/gravel winding road another time, more fun ![]() I ended up blowing a fork seal on the road to "City of Rocks" on the FJ1200. The Bodie ride was especially nerve wracking, as I'd only had the new Guzzi for about a month or two, and I thought for sure I'd be grinding it into the side of a hill at any moment ![]() al |
