We did 7,957 miles in 19 days. Could have never done it without a throttle lock and a huge tank bag filled with cold weather gear to lay on. Chatter box with mp3 to listen to filled the time of the open road with nothing around

was that ride painful? I can barely do anymore than 120 in a day on my R1.

Naw it wasn't painful, I gotta small package! LOL We had to stop every 100 miles for a rest. We averaged just over 400 miles a day, but we had an 800 mile day and a 957 mile day. Those 2 days, yes did suck, but it will be something I will never forget! The worst part of the whole trip was the last 20 miles when we got stuck in a traffic jam in Royal Oak michigan. It was like 100 degrees and we had just left Cali 4 days earlier where we could split lanes. Sitting in traffic so close to home was the worst part of the whole trip.

The guy on the busa only rode from Topeka, KS to Amarillo, TX. He couldn't hang with us!!!!! LOL
