Here we go ready to dismount and attack La Sal Pass!

Yup it's gnarly and I have a dirtbike!

This nicely graded road looks deceiving for whats up ahead.

Get ready for a climb!

Looking back after a gnarly climb, the camera makes it look tame.

Spectacular mountain views!

The road ahead. Looks like some of the easy trails at like say Holister Hills. But we're probably 5k ft right now!

Sometimes its smoothens out a bit.

More beautiful landscape

The KLX and I need to take a break and enjoy the view because both of us can't breathe.

Check the GPS and we're at 8200feet!

Panoramics

Even though we can't breathe we're still having a great time because of views like this!

Yeah it's steep it seems to keep climbing forever

This is the trail head for La Sal Pass, forest road 073

There's lots of nice pretty plants to take pictures of.

Passed these hunters on a side by side looks like they bagged a big deer. Looks like someone is having deer steak tonight! So yeah side by sides can do this road but I assure you it's still challenging.

About halfway there it's autumn up here!

Purdy views

Yeah we going up there

It's like a Bob Ross painting here

Exploring this side trail here I think it's probably a camping or turnaround spot.

Ok here where it gets hairy. The guide tells me to head left to talus slopes. I'll find out later what that entails.

Stop for another panoramic

The section right after the fork lots of rocks

Look at what I have to get around here.

So I mention talus slopes right this is what talus is. It's a shit ton of huge rocks you gotta ride over!

Still a beautiful view though.

After this section is a nice foresty section.

Found a little pond

Finally we have made it to the end of the pass.

The road that I just traveled.

This is Mt. Peale, it's a very tall mountain as you can see. There is a hiking trail up to it also, no hiking for me today.

If you keep going there is a graded dirt road, but all the tough stuff is over with.

YEAH VICTORY SELFIE!

Down another trail leads you to this horse trail. I don't think you can take the dirtbike on this. Also there was ICE here brrr the muddy puddles had frozen making brown ice.

10K club!

Down the nice graded road I found this overlook, you can paint a picture of that!

Nice forest road

Picture of Medicine Lake

Nice meadow

So that was pretty much it I headed down La Sal Pass pretty much doubling back. It was still steep but this time going downhill so the rocky sections were less troublesome. Took another shot of the talus slopes section.

Some pictures on the way down showing the rockiness.

Some final trip stats.

Got a bit dirty

KLX loaded up, La Sal Pass was a lotta fun. So ends my Dirtbikea and Quadventure!
