Our poor little Luna was diagnosed with hip dysplasia
Poor little girl. The right side is in really bad shape and will need surgery. Her left side they don’t recommend surgery yet.
We always noticed she was a bit weaker on her back legs but also surprised that no vet ever noticed it.

We are told that here in Mass there are some great orthopedic surgeons.
Anyone here has had their pup go through hip surgery? What to what out for?

She’s still very young (9 months) which will make her recovery much easier and give her many good quality years.

Is the Vet School at Tufts University an option for care?

Tufts is an option. The issue with Tufts is that is booked solid until September. We are then looking at other options.
Tufts is saying their surgeons due to COVID restrictions can only perform procedures once a week.

Oh man
We’re going through this as well but in the Bay Area it’s difficult to get a vet to see you.

Sorry to hear about the long timeline. When I had a dog treated for cancer at UC Davis years ago the process was very fast. Keep us updated on Luna.
