I have gotten the unintended loft from both the RD and the Hawk while under acceleration but nothing near the balance point, and nothing abrupt. So I have been practicing from the beginning. First gear baby wheelies, just twisting from a slow put put, or throttle off/throttle on. No clutch involved. Sometimes I get greater results than others, and I am afraid to move on until I can consistently pull it up in first. What I have noticed though is that the acceleration that results from grabbing so much throttle seems to affect my head. I feel pressure, (especially if it doesn't pop up) as the bike accelerates rapidly through the Rev range in first gear. After spending 15-20 minutes out on a deserted road, I almost felt car-sick, and can only attribute it to the sudden acceleration on the inner ear. Anybody else experience this or find it hard to learn wheelies because of the rapid increase in perceived speed. I feel like it is a mental barrier that I need to make it past. Anybody have any tips?

Hooli, is that a little 250cc? I have a gixxer 1k which wheelies easily in first, duh, but it has more power than I'm comfortable with for wheelies. It's my 3rd bike (I've upgraded from 500 to 750 to 1000cc) and I don't have lots of experience with wheelies so I thought of buying an extra little bike I can trash if things go wrong as I hone my skills. I'm wondering if I should try with a 500 or even a 250cc to practice keeping my wheelies up without going as fast as my gixxer pulls in the wheelie mode. Any suggestions?

IIRC that's Port. Early BARF pic.

And yes, that's an EX250.

it's funny on all the bikes i've had so far i've knows how to just pop the front wheel up a bit to go over potholes ECT...

my GS wont do it

im sure it will do a wheelie... but i can't just sit back and gas it like i used to.

maybe it's out of tune.... im starting to think that one side isn't firing 100%

Hey guys need some advice on 2nd gear stand ups with a F4. I'm 6'4 and 240ish so it feels pretty awkward to get my left foot on the passenger peg and I can't seem to put any weight on it as I feel like I'm leaning forward too much, which means weight on the bars. Obviously I should lean back, but my body position feels too messed up, but I really want to do stand ups lol. I can pull it maybe 2 feet in 2nd (clutch) with pulling up on the bars and it goes right back down. Any other tall stunters in here give any advice?
