Congrats to the new SX -Champ --Spoiler

Same as the old champ.

Dungey seemed pissed at Tomac's tactics of stalling him in the corner. ....he even slipped and said "cheap shots" in the immediate post race interview. After some bad luck last week Eli had to play poke the bear to have a shot. He came close. 3 in a row for the "?" And 4th overall. Even though each one seemed to have a faster rider "?" Prevailed.

"Mr Consistent" is kind of boring
"The Dunge" nah.
"?"

Osborne rocked the 250 race. His last corner pass was not a cheap shot it was a kill shot. Holy cow Hill is moving up we'll see if he can compete.

I hope Reedy would podium. Oh well close.

2 Husky's win. That has to be a first.

Tomac had to try something! Sure made for an exciting race ! So angry that my DVR cut off the last 5 minutes.

The 250 race was epic!! Osborne rode through Savatgy for that championship!

2 of the best SX main events of the year.
Maybe several years.

I really like it when the season points race is close at the last event of the year.
Makes for GREAT racing.
Like we saw last night.

I like both Dungy and Tomac.
Was a tough call who to root for.

Dungy was class when he pointed to Eli (after the event finish) and gave him a thumbs up.

TV coverage was breaking up a bit and had some poor choices for camera angles. Weird as usually it is so good. I guess it is the nature of the track, which I love because it is so fast for a SX track.

Think the Champ will retire?? His contract is up with KTM. He could probably suck up big coin for that #1 plate.

Hope he stays with Roger D and big orange.

Both the 250 and 450 motos were some of the best in some time for viewing excitement.

In the 250's Jordan Smith has to be devastated to have thrown away his chance for the title like that. Looking forward to seeing him in the future. Osborne, man he ran through Savatagy like some proper old school MX. Would have made Hannah proud. He was not going to denied his championship. From dead last in a first turn pile up to the last lap pass on Savatagy, inspired ride. Congrats to the new 250 East Champ who not only showed the most speed through out the series, but the most desire.

I never would have guessed it, but the 450 main turned out to be just as great! I let out a huge shout of approval when Anderson cleaned out Reed. No way was he going to let him get involved in the title race unfolding. Fricking awesome! Eli did all he could do to slow down and control the race while taking a few shots at Dungey..... but it wasnt enough. Bagget and Anderson had Dungeys back for much of the race. There was so much going within the race that kept you on edge. Grant made me VERY nervous. They didnt show what happened to Musquin on TV. Does anyone know? Last we saw of him, Reed was coming up.

Congrats to Dungey! Three peat. Fourtime 450SX champion. Seven premier class championships. Love or hate him, hard to not recognize that he will be cemented in the history of SX/MX greats by any metrics you choose.

Outdoors is only weeks away. It has the potential to be an incredible year.

I think Emig or RC tried to stick the Diesel on him. Supposedly Dungey doesn't like it. In an interview with him and his wife, he called himself Golden Rod while he wife blushed. He even jokingly wore it on his helmet a couple of times. But your right, no known nicknames have stuck. Hurricane Hannah, RJ was the bad boy, Bailey the Dr, the O Show, Barnett the bomber, Glover was Golden Boy, etc etc. Then again, did Ward, Bayle or Stanton ever have nicknames? Just a few I can think of not having nicknames. Might be less of thing for contemporary culture as a lot of the current riders don't have nicknames.

We were at the race. Awesome seats, big screen TV and everything. Tomac is undoubtably the fastest guy out there but Dungey showed again that consistency wins championships. What I liked was that, for almost the first time this season, Dungey ran down Tomac from behind. Usually when Tomac got in front it was game over. The 250 main was nuts. Almost like everyone was trying to NOT win the title.
Half hour after the race it started pouring down rain....

Noooo. Dungey was Tomac's play toy. Dungey didn't catch up to anyone. Tomac slowed down, hoping the bunching of riders would allow chaos that would push Dungey further back. Or, he was hoping that slowing and allowing Dungey to pass would give him the opportunity to pass him back in a way which would put Dungey further back. Tomac wasn't actually racing, more like he was in a strategic points competition involving motorcycles.
