smart phones: which is pretty good for barfing..? - BARF

need a smart phone for browsing the web, taking pictures, some games, emails, taking notes, and occasionally make phone calls..

weird how that works nowadays...

need one that i can actually sign on with which i can't with my current phone...

please recommend..

i don't want a ghey iphone but if it's the only choice, i'll keep what i have..

I've got an HTC Inspire. It's great for web browsing due to the HUGE screen, makes reading a cinch. The downside is that the screen kills the battery pretty quickly... if you find yourself out overnight or forget to plug your phone in when you go to bed, you're going to have a flat battery the next day. Of course, that can easily be solved by extra chargers at work and on the bike...

Samsung Galaxy works pretty damn well. I use it more than my Iphone4

i was looking at the sony/ericson android...

for $100 advertised by verizon but dunno how big the screen is ...

seems the cheapest out of the lot or is it better to spend about 250 for a decent one for what i'm looking for..??

The xperia...probably pass. I avoid slider type phones in general since it can break/wear down fairly easy IMO. Any of the Droids for $200 are nice.

cell carrier: Verizon More expensive for a reason, it works, everywhere. All others pale in comparison. A whiter shade of pale at that.

phone: Motorola X2 android Sturdy and rugged have been watchwords for Motorola.

Check Costco, better prices than the Verizon store and a better return policy. I like my Droid Charge, it has a nice big bright screen.

+1 or amazon wireless, just be aware that Costco and Amazon has their own ETF separate from Verizon. Not an issue if you plan to stay with Verizon for the length of the contract.

IMO get an X2.
