SOLD - 2010 Ducati Monster 1100S, very low miles, extensive farkles

SOLD via Craigslist

Here’s a rare chance to own an extremely well set-up Monster 1100S, a very low-mileage example of the last great air-cooled big-bore two-valve Monsters.

Why am I selling? I took this bike in trade for an old Guzzi. It’s amazing machine in excellent condition, and that engine is just glorious when on the boil. But it just doesn’t work for me overall, in part due to injuries that make the riding position tough to handle for very long.

Bike is located up in Sac.

The bike has about 2,900 miles on it and is tastefully and extensively farkled (bunch of photos here). It has never been dropped or crashed—it’s in truly excellent condition. Three full sets of bodywork are included: the silver set on the bike, plus red and tri-colore sets. It has been extensively upgraded with black forged Marchesini wheels, a full Termignoni exhaust with matching ECU, and tons of carbon fiber and CNC parts. The Monster is a light bike to begin with, all these lightweight parts should have it well under 400 pounds wet. Full parts list below.

I’m asking $9,000. I know that upgrades don’t translate directly to resale value, but let’s be real: putting together a Monster like this from stock will cost a huge pile of money in addition to the price of the bike. The wheels and pipes alone are about 2/3 of what I’m asking. So please don’t bother with nonsense like “Oh, but I can buy a 696 that’s been dropped on both sides for $3,500” or whatever. Questions? Want to check it out? Message me *with your phone number* if you want to be taken seriously.

Will I consider trades? Maybe, if it’s something I want or find interesting. I’d consider a Suzuki VanVan or Honda Monkey in partial trade, maybe an interesting lightweight dual-sport, Dorsoduro 900, Africa Twin DCT, Z900RS or…?

Here are the full details:
- S package includes Ohlins suspension front and rear
- Original cast wheels replaced with Marchesini forged wheels
- Termignoni full exhaust system with matching Ducati/Termignoni Race ECU
- Ducati Performance airbox with K&N filter
- Ducati Performance carbon fiber belt covers
- Ducati Performance gel seat
- ASV brake (shorty) and clutch (full length) levers
- NRC tail tidy with integrated LED brake light and turn signals
- Motodemic 7” headlight conversion and Shift-Tech carbon fiber instrument housing (stock mini-fairing doesn’t fit with the Motodemic light)
- Motogadget Blaze Pin LED front turn signals
- Supersprox lightweight 2-piece billet rear sprocket and with titanium retainer nuts
- Corsa Garage machined right side engine case for clutch venting
- CNC Racing lightweight black billet upper triple clamp
- CNC Racing billet risers
- Ohlins steering damper with Ducabike bracket (not currently installed)
- Ducabike lightweight billet rearsets with folding pegs, fully adjustable; matching Ducabike lightweight billet pillion pegs and mounts to match rear sets (not currently installed)
- Ducabike lightweight billet axle nuts front and rear
- Ducabike titanium frame bolts; many other bolts replaced with titanium, including caliper mount bolts and rear axle pinch bolts
- Ducabike billet clutch pressure plate with stainless springs and billet retainers
- Yoyodyne performance clutch slave
- Ducati Performance carbon open clutch cover
- Shift-Tech carbon fiber front and rear fenders
- Shift-Tech carbon fiber fuel tank cover
- LightTech carbon fiber quick filler fuel cap
- Carbonvani carbon fiber oil cooler shroud kit and evaporator tank eliminator cover
- OEM handlebar, brake and clutch reservoir mounts, sidestand and exhaust brackets hard anodized in black.
- CRG Arrow mirrors
- SpeedyMoto sliders for engine, front and rear axles (never installed)
- Most OEM takeoff parts included except original wheels and mufflers
- Original manual and key card
- Ducati Performance rearstand
- Recent maintenance: new belts, oil, and filter about 400 miles ago. The bike got Dunlop Sportmax Q3 tires and a Shorai battery at the same time and Ferodo brake pads front and rear about 200 miles ago.

It's hard to tell who you're trying to insultóI guess the previous owner of the Duc? But it's uninformed and mostly just makes you look kinda clueless.

Here's the Guzzi in question, with photos from it being shown at The Quail.

Calling this bike an old Guzzi must be some kind of a crime. GLWS you sure have owned some pretty bikes.

It is old, or at least older, and it is a Guzzi.

Such voluminous want, such diminutive means. Lovely bike, absolutely perfectly appointed. Good luck with selling her.

Guess I have to explain it further: At this point they'd both have to be drunk- I'm saying they're both good, hence the

Surj always posts tasteful bikes.

I can vouch for Surj since he's kinda new around here and seems like a shifty fella.

That 1100 is such a monster (pun intended). One of the only Ducati engine's I've every really loved, though I really wanted it in a hypermotard. Thing looks incredible and will surely turn heads as much as it gives pleasure (sexual innuendo intended ).

you two are funny.

For the record, a nice air-cooled Hyper would likely be a strong trade candidate.
