These are both more of the Sub-Bass subgenre. I like most of my dubstep pretty dark and minimal.

The only dubstep songs I've found that I like are:

Flux Pavilion - Cracks
Flux Pavilion - Gold Dust
Flux Pavilion - Got 2 Know
Circus One - I Can't Stop

and every time I listen to them I feel like that JP from Grandma's Boy :

It's such a shame to see how horribly the overall genre has degraded over there years. I wish I could have been more into it when the overall feel was more minimal. Not that there aren't good tracks being produced nowadays.

lol i was waiting for someone to go there. That's honestly how i feel about it though. Lots of the stuff I listen to is both old, and from the UK. I'll probably never get to see most of them in person. A few of them have come stateside, and it's been nothing short of epic. Some friends of mine run some club nights in SF, and we just got some pretty large UK names coming through at the end of the year. That's about as good as it's going to get for me.

Nasty Nasty has played some of the trippiest shit. Definitely has mind fucked me on many occasion haha. I have respect for any producer who pushes the genre boundaries like that.

This one was good too:

Quote:
Me: Hey dubstep can you do me a favor?

Dubstep: Sure.

Me: Can you hold my bass?

Dubstep: I don't see why not.

Me: Thanks dude.

Dubstep: No problem.

Me: *comes back*

Me: Where the hell is my bass?

Dubstep: I dropped it.

Me: Fuck yeah
