Badass MFers on Steelbender, Day 6. This may have been my favorite trail for a combination of obstacles, enjoyable riding, and views.

Hey look at that, YouTube's thumbnail generator caught AnyTwoWillDo bombing down the worst downhill!

Thus concludes my picture and video dump.

Steelbender was a good time. I was pretty tired heading into it and certainly didn't ride anywhere near my best, but I had an absolute blast.

You guys are sick! I'm glad now that I couldn't go because I definitely couldn't hang with all that technical stuff.

Great videos!

The camera never does it justice. Some of that stuff was pretty damned tough. Beautiful views, like every ride in Moab. The bonus was that we didn't have to truck our bikes anywhere. We rode to the trail straight out of the garage of the house we were renting.

If Tom can do it so can you because he has the same ride

I probably would have done it if I wasn't so worn out. You can always have someone ride your (walk of shame) bike out of a tough section or get help pushing it :P

Or you can hang out with me and ride the easy stuff.

I actually haven't watched any of the videos since I just got back I might re-evaluate what I just said.

Tom is a fricking machine, though. Just because Tom can ride his XR like it's a 240 pound woods bike doesn't mean that us mere mortals can do the same.

Great videos 2 stroke. Thanks for sharing. All those trails are so fun. Steel Bender was a favorite.

I have a few GPS tracks I can share, but don't see a spot to post 'em.
I tracked Steel Bender, a 25 mile loop on the Sovereign ATV trail, and about 20 miles on the 7 mile Rim/Monitor-Merrimack trails.

Eric, was that you in the video who wheelied and crashed into the puddle? Looked awesome and painful!

Yes, it was me. That face was taller & steeper than others we had encountered. I gave it too much gas going up. The wheelie was not intended, and the puddle was a surprise. Wet clothes for a while and a sore hip for a day was the result. I was lucky to not get hurt.

The important thing (other than you not getting hurt, of course) was that it was captured on video for our amusement.

Absolutely! My 2nd thought, after "anything hurt", was "I hope he got that on video".

That's what I thought, I was wary of ledges and steps, but I made everything on the first or second try. I had more trouble not giving smaller obstacles the proper respect.
