120 dropped me onto highway 6 which I took N/E to get to 95 south. Highway 6 was a long wide open high speed invitation.

After stopping for this picture I asked the big Yamaha what she thought. She dropped the windshield and started whispering 90, 100, 110, 120, 130 lets go.

Highway 6 took me into Nevada and then south on 95. There is nothing out there but desert and a long straight roadway. Every once in awhile I had to stop to take photos of the crazy shit people do. I guess you get bored easily in the desert.

Stopped in Goldfield NV for some gas. It was only $3.49 a gallon.

I learned that you should drink lots of water to avoid looking like this guy.

At the end of the first day I pulled into Las Vegas at about 5 PM. Total milage for the day was 586 miles. The temperature in Las Vegas was 108. A long cold shower then off to the casinos.

Woke up Wednesday morning and headed east.

First stop was the Hoover dam

I took 93 south to Kingman and then 40 east to Flagstaff Arizona.

Just outside of Flagstaff I turned south onto 17 and then jumped on the most beautiful road I have ever ridden, 89a.

89a takes you south into Sedona. You drop into a deep canyon and the twisties are incredible. The canyon is lush and green, with huge red rock formations towering over both sides. Absolutely amazing. The photos don't do it any justice.
