Fire damage on Walker Ridge

Last week I rode Leesville Rd. to check out the new pavement, and returned to Hwy 20 via Walker Ridge to check out the devastation.

The paving on Leesville is nice except for sand/gravel on just about every curve. I think I liked it better graveled.

Brim Rd. and Walker ridge were just plain ugly. Here's a view off of Brim-

Bartlett Springs Rd. is marked closed due to hazardous trees.

A view looking back to Bear Valley-

Between the Valley fire and the earlier Pawnee fire, most of the land surrounding Indian Valley Reservoir is toast. Sad to see.

Great pics of a devastated area. Many have seen pics and clips on tv. But to be there can be humbling.
