I've never heard of chili pie. It looks sweet.

Well, just to be clear, Marie Callenders has a frozen "Chili Pie". It's chili. In a pie. Like a pot pie.

And it's terrible.

Is this it.

Chili Pie 16290 Main Street
Guerneville, CA 95446

Chile Pies Baking Co. serves delicious sweet pies and ice cream. All our butter crust pies are original recipes and are made from scratch every day. Our signature green chile apple pie is made with a sweet apple & green chile filling, cheddar cheese crust & walnut streusel. For a delicious sweet treat, try our take on the classic milkshake. We take a piece of pie and blend it together with ice cream and milk.

Chili Pie or Frito Pie was a weekly lunch meal at the Jr. High I went to.

Heated, canned chili over Fritos was the main dish.

I will still make it occasionally myself. Sometimes with canned chili and others from scratch chili. Guilty pleasures.

P.S. I do like pie with ice cream though. The pic in the OP looks delicious.
