Question what to do with my old cb750

I have an old motorcycle that I was riding and keeping running pretty good for a few years. But I got really busy and it wasn't running, and I didn't work on it, and one thing led to another, and now it's been a few years not running and me moving it back and forth across the street for street cleaning.

So I just want to get rid of it, I don't want to get it running, I don't want to even deal with cleaning it up and selling it, I just want to be done with it. I'm taking a vacation next week and I'll have some time. Are there any salvage yards in the city? I thought there used to be some kind of cycle salvage yard but google isn't coming up with anything.... I don't really want to have to tow it out of the city... I live in the sunset.

I guess I'm seeing my options as:

sure thing: towing it to a salvage yard somewhere far outside the city at my own (probably high) expense

not so sure: putting it on craigslist or here on barf as a free-for-the-taking, as-is tow away. There are a lot of good parts on it, but the chrome and the the exhaust are pretty corroded. The reason it wasn't running had to do with an electrical problem that is probably solvable by someone that is persistent and has time. But it does look pretty beat up with the rust and so forth.

but I say not-so-sure because I don't know if anyone would want it??? I could see someone getting it running.

Anyway, I guess I'm just wondering what people with more experience with this kind of thing would do. It is a viable motorcycle but I think it might be more valuable for parts like the engine and so on?

Any advice would be appreciated. 1980 honda cb750F.

If you have the title and no back fees for not paying registration my guess is someone will probably take it off your hands. I'd post it here first in the Moto For Sale Forum, price=$0, buyer picks it up, post it with at least one pic. Kick a few bucks to the forum for the service.

Also, I hear on the radio all the time charities that will take old cars and motos, running or not. Kars for Kids is the one I hear on KNBR all the time, I think they will even come and get it. https://www.kars4kids.org/

Cool. If you go meet the lads at the SFMC someone would surely have interest.
