Oh lol, you actually are running straight pipes.
Put a full system on there. A full system will add power, whereas straight pipes do little more than add noise. |

North Bay/SF/Oakland area Stunters??? little bit 'o help???
****1) I'm trying to get the feel for long wheelies. I have a gixxer 1000 so getting the front wheel up is no issue at all. Issue for me is feeling comfortable finding the balance point and keeping it up. I've noticed that 2nd gear wheelies go farther...same as with 3rd. I've even gotten the front wheel up in 4th on the freeway.
But...I'm still a total newbie when it comes to wheelies. ****2) Stoppies. I still think that long rolling stoppies are one of the most impressive stunts (highchair wheelies, no handed wheelies, circle wheelies and drifting are up on the list for me too). I can bust a stoppie but I can't roll it out. 1st of all I'm afraid of looping the bike if i grab too much front brake. From the stunt vids I watch it seems the guys position their body weight forward. But I'm not clear on how much weight to put forward etc. ****anyone interested in hanging out and showing me how its done? *I dont want to have to go any farther north then petaluma or farther then Oakland area in east bay, and no farther south then SF area. I'll buy lunch. |

is there a saferway to learn a wheelie like a wheelie machine or something...getting the front end up is no biggie, but to keep riding forward with the rear wheel is the toughest part..any suggestions how to practise a long wheelie while on the run ???

Never wheelied, but rode with a guy who pulled a bunch of nice looking controlled wheelies coming out of stop signs on his R1. Clearly a liter bike has enough juice to power wheelie, but is it stupid to try to learn to wheelie on a liter bike? Don't want my first attempt to be a loop or similarly spectacular crash. But it looks hella fun...
Thx
