New Car Porter - Hayward

We are currently seeking to hire someone that wants to make some money, and be around new and used cars. This job is perfect for someone that wants to learn about cars and or how dealerships work.

We offer great benefits, free lunch on Saturday

Porter Purpose:
• Moves vehicles to maintain flow of traffic
• Assists customers with questions and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintains cleanliness of the dealership

Porter Duties and Responsibilities:
• May be required to help replenish all vehicle fluids as needed, and perform other minor vehicle assistance.
• Keep vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Makes key tags for vehicles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor

Porter Qualifications:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Full or Part Time, pay starts @ $14.00

I was a porter for Honda way back when I was in college. Great PT job while going to school. I busted my ass and worked my way into the garage one day a week changing oil. Became cool with the techs inside and learned a lot more about cars helping them with their jobs.

I also became a much better parallel and reverse parker

Good to hear, I really enjoyed my time as a Porter. I am working with the Techs in the Parts Department.

Position has been filled, I will post back up if the new person does not work out.

It's a pity that I've missed that offer. As I worked a lot of years a s a car shipper. I know mostly anything about old and new cars, because I shipped them more than 12 years, and I am a proficient in the shipment field too
