My grandparents used to have a house/cabin in Arnold. And I've taken 4 to Markleeville and then to Tahoe in a car, and thought that would be a cool road to try on a bike. Never got around to it though. So I'll ride vicariously through your pics.

It sort of is. These two guys asked me if the RC was mine when it was parked next to their bikes in Markleeville. They wanted to ask me about it because they said they had never seen anyone tour on one of those. I assured them it was a fine touring bike. By the way, they had trackday stickers from Reno Fernley and one was and AFM track worker.

Talking about Arnold, I stopped to get gas there and the young woman at the cash register looked out the window at my bike and said "nice bike". I told her if I had more time I would let her take it for a ride. She said that she would take me up on it and then told me that she used to race AFM and knew the bay area roads.

You meet all kinds of people out on the road.

You should go over Ebbets. It is a very fun road. I haven't taken pictures of the best part of the road because it is too steep to stop and the corners are so tight that you have to get them just right or you might stall.

Great shots! Friend and I did the Hwy 49, 89 and 88 this weekend. I like to stop but not as easy when your not alone. Weather was great Sat and Sunday!

That Hwy 4 looks like a great ride. One more on my list.

Thanks for sharing. So many roads, so little time!

Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. The camera is an older Canon Powershot. Nothing special, but all I have right now. I dropped and broke the Sony Sureshot that was much nicer. So I need to get a new camera. The key to good pictures is lighting, a steady camera and a good angle and a bit of luck.

Hey Mike,

If you ever ride around Sonoma or Mendocino county, let me know. I live in Cotati and spend most weekends riding the roads around here. Gotta try Skaggs if you haven't already. Come up and we'll ride.

Hey Andy, nice to hear from you after all of these years. I get up that way every so often. Have ridden Skaggs a few times. Gone to Ft. Bragg and further north. I will let you know that next time I head that way.

Great pics, my bike sat in the garage all weekend since I had friends in from Denver. I enjoyed your pics, they reminded me of my trip to Colorado a few years back.

Thanks for sharing. I have many fond memories of Tahoe...I've taken trips there my entire life. One of the most beautiful places in the world IMO. Would love to do a summer MC ride up there someday. Awesome!
