That was fun to watch (the triples drag racing).

There's a Canadian guy (Off Road) on the RZ350 forum actively bracket racing his mildly modified bike for 2 or 3 years. He's very analytical and makes little improvements along the way.

A bit of one post

On Saturday at 4:49:29 PM, I had my fastest run of the day. 12.849 @ 102.41 mph.
On Sunday at 4:49:22 PM, I had my fastest run of the day. 12.808 @ 102.49 mph.

Here is his thread. Not much in the way of videos but some may enjoy the read.

(the 1990 stuff at the beginning is the awards this short won ...
shown in the vid is Finnish rally driver Ari Vatanen setting a record time for 1988.)

My God, four wheel drifts right next to a sheer cliff! Scary to even watch.

love the way it starts with a little music and then it's just the engine ... like my favorite scene in Bullitt.

pretty sure the Peugeot 405 T16 is the vehicle losing a drag race with the DAF Turbo Twin X1 in the Dakar in 1988 at 200km/hr.:

Mr Vatanen was also behind the wheel of the 405 T16 with the DAF in the vid above at Dakar in 1988, guess he had quite a year ...

his 405 T16 was stolen in Bamako while he was in the lead, and would only be returned if a ransom of 25 million francs CFA was paid. The car eventually found, but it was too late for the win ...

his team mate Juha Kankkunen went on to win in 1988, joining with Mr Vatanen's Dakar 405 T16 win in 1997. Mr Vatanen also won Dakar with the 405 T16, in '89 (by a coin toss!) and '90 and with Citroen ZX Rallye-Raid in '91.

those were the days.
