World Famous MV-SV 650

**Sale Pending**

I'm sure you've all seen this bike at one point or another. The beautifully crafted MV-SV650 . Several years ago it was purchased by a co-worker of mine, who then moved to So-Cal and sold it to another coworker of mine. He wasn't sure why he bought it and it has just been garaged for a couple years now. It's taking up valuable real estate in my garage now and I'd like to move it onto its next home.

The internet is full of information on the history of the bike. It is truly incredibly done. No short cuts and great fit and finish throughout.

That being said, she is showing her age a little bit and could use some love. I rebuilt the carbs a couple months ago and she fired right up. At this point I did notice that the tach doesn't seem to be functioning but the cluster lights up fine. There is minor corrosion here and there, a tiny nick in the seat, and the windscreen has a piece missing out of the top of it. The tires are dry rotted and desperately need to be replaced along with the chain. I'm not sure on the actual mileage given it has a 2nd gen cluster on it. Overall it's still in excellent shape and a day of tinkering and some elbow grease and she could be close to her former glory. The parts on this bike alone make it worth picking up. Especially those ultra sexy Dymag magnesium wheels.

Happy to take more detailed pictures for interested parties. I'm located in South San Jose, 95136 area code. Clean title in hand, and reg is current with no fees.

Listing this at $3500

Very cool bike. I remember reading through those linked threads years back.

Carbon, single sided swingarm, wheels, suspension...

This is a steal at the asking price. GLWS and congrats to the new owner

Stupid low price considering everything that went into it. Hopefully someone comes along who will enjoy it.

I used to own the precurser to that bike, the Motomorphic SV. first single sided swingarm SV650. Complete with Ducati 748 wheel, and also the prototype for Zoran's SV swap bearing setup.
Cool history!

Cool history!
The orange tank, with dominator headlights? I remember that one when Jim had his shop in Petaluma.

That one indeed. When I got it from Jim, it had a satin black paint job.

I also had a Hawk GT of Jim's with a bright orange tank.

I am so very tempted, yet grateful my hands are full and I have no way to haul her back to the Sierras.

GLWS - epic SV for sure.
