friend of mine years ago had a silver CBX with a six into two Kerker system on it. That bike sounded so awesome!

I had a friend in the early 80’s that put a CBX motor in Harris frame (cool) and then tried to turbo it (notso cool), it kept grenading the motor.

Slightly off topic (sorry) but the Kerker name brings me back.
I had a 1978 KZ650 for a while. I was trying to put it back to stock and was looking for the stock exhaust. The guy at the counter at G&B Kawasaki said "Keep the Kerker on it. For that bike that pretty much was the stock exhaust."

I remember the various CBX models (& race bikes, too)
I remember those 6-into-6 pipes, which usually sounded even better -
what I don’t remember, across decades, is seeing/hearing very many of em.....

Can’t tell from the picture but it looks like it has the sport control kit that Honda sold for those and the 750/900F series. Really liked them set up like that. Stock exhaust sounded pretty damn good in my opinion. It’s said the engineers went to a local AF base and recorded Phantoms to try for something like that sound. That one you’re working on looks super clean!

Notice that the throttle cables enter the twist-grip housing from the top, not the bottom. That's definitely from the sport control kit, as are the lower bars.

However, the footpeg bracket seems not to be from the kit. The peg looks too far forward.

I had the sport control kit on both my CBX and 900F.
