Experiences with CompMag? (side-loading magazine)
https://www.compmag.net/
"Permanently" attached magazine, loaded from the side. Makes AK47/AR15 no longer considered assault weapons because no detachable magazine. Just moved back from TX with my AK and really would like to keep the pistol grip. ![]() |

I use CompMag. It's serviceable for static ranges and meets compliance requirements.
When at a location where training with a standard rifle is not frowned upon, it's easy to remove then put back on when returning. |

A buddy uses one. He has one of the first / early ones and it had some issues. He was able to diagnose and fix and it runs just fine now. I don't recall what the issue was tho. As stated above, good for compliance.

Nice sticks.
I have an early 556 one, a newer 556 one, and an LR/SR 308 one. The newer 556 one is better able to handle 300BLK cartridges and ditches a little metal piece that could be easily lost. Their founder/President, David Maga, is super responsive to customer service requests too. |
