smoking deal on Magnesium wheels (WeBike)

$1K for Galespeed magnesium wheels. Same price I paid for my mags back in 00' on the ZX12R. What a deal...

all wheel manufacturers sell wheels "each," not by the pair.

Also, price varies by bike:

While they're often available as each, they're generally sold as a pair too. example: https://www.coremoto.com/product_p/yamr12vs.htm

The CARROZZERIA wheels have a great reputation.

However, they are aluminum.

Wheels I was quoting are magnesium.

I bought a set of Dymags for my ZX12R, & I quickly became in love w/"real" mags. The side to side transitions became much faster on the Big Ninja, & I quickly became in love w/the monster hyperbike = riding it almost exclusively in the twisties...

That was pointing out that some are sold as a pair, rather than anything about quality etc.

I can't find any info on what Galespeed mags weigh.

Hardracing says
Quote:
Weight - A stock rear GSXR wheel weighs about 17.5 lbs. bare. The same size Marchesini Forged mag weighs 8.8 lbs! The Fronts - Stock 13.5 lbs while the mag weighs only 6.4 lbs.
Carrozzeria says
Quote:
Bare Wheel weights.
FW35LM1 Front: 5.79 Lbs
RW6LM1 Rear: 7.96 Lbs
so brand is important, and not all mags are lighter than all aluminum wheels

Its not just total weight, but where that weight lives that affects the feel performance and handling of the wheels.
