Wild MotoGP race. Couldn't be happier for Petrucci. Have to give credit to AM73 for great ride in tough conditions. Bummed for Miller. Championship got more interesting. Terrible day for Yamaha as they head to Aragon which, on paper, is not a good track for the M1.

10x more bummed or Joe Roberts. The tire problem was bad but race direction starting the race without the grid formed is ridiculous. He had the bike and the pace for what surely would have been a win.

Petrux is a good guy - so glad for him. Made it the feel good race of the year. Yes, it was a rain race which always have weird results, but tip of the hat for that ride to the toothy dork AM. Really wish Zarco had more time to upset the party so all the haters here could blow a gasket.

Got a bad surprise when I woke up at 5 and found the race had already started early, but just rewound the feed to the beginning and was G2G.

Nothing shakes the Snow-Globe quite like a rain race. I remember a time when Valentino was considered a good rain-racer... out on the 2nd turn of the first lap? I thought at first he got his back tire clipped, but it was all Valentino. He's on a bad run the last 3 races, to say the least.

Happy for Petrux and Baby Marquez, both have had dismal seasons.

Dovi got a little unlucky when Rins lost control of his throttle and put Dovi off course just when he was gearing up to go for Petrucci. I haven't seen what happened to Miller's bike but he's got to be gutted as that most likely will put him out of Championship contention.

'Pretty good' race with some good action and unexpected results. But, I think it's going to end up being a pretty inconsequential race, as it hasn't really shaken up the Championship standings. 5 more to go...

I want to know why race direction kicked Roberts off pole ???I never heard an explanation on that. And then to not let him line up in last is unbelievable. I’m not sure why Simon never investigated that and we never heard anything about it. If that was Lowe’s, Luca, or any Spanish rider we would’ve heard something. Super irritated about that while situation

Roberts' team was having trouble fitting the rear wheel after either a tire or shock change (or both) on then grid. The team ran out of time to complete the work so the bike was removed from the grid and the team sent to pit lane. I don't think there was any bias on behalf of race direction for this part. (Pedrosa had a similar incident on a MotoGP grid a few years ago and was sent to pit lane.)

There is some confusion about whether the rules say Roberts was then supposed to start the race from pit lane or from the back of the grid. Race officials released him to do the warm-up lap after the entire grid had already left and then started the race before Roberts could complete the warm-up lap. That seems like a fuck-up and it will be interesting to hear the details as to why this happened.
