There is short video interview with Gerloff on MotoGP.com about his day on the M1. Gerloff said the bike is very friendly to ride and Rossi gave him some advice about where he could improve. The kid is really living a dream. A well-earned dream.

Comparisons are difficult but Gerloff's debut appears a lot more impressive than when van der Mark filled in for Folger at Sepang in 2017. MvdM had experience at Sepang but never was happy with the bike and had a tough weekend in mixed conditions.
