A. Marquez showed glimpses of "getting the bike" but i don't think he will ever have the same level of adaptability that MM has. MM is something else.

I have my doubts.

Doohan and the leg injury could be compensated with a thumb brake, etc.
Doohan could also lock his thigh against the tank indent for stability.
WinOrBin will have to throttle, brake (brake lever and air brake with upper body), and steer with a diminished right arm.

Modern medicine is pretty amazing these days, but I am definitely doubtful he'll be back to his normal self ever again

As much as I don’t like the guy it's a sad way to have a decline in career.
I’d rather see him 100% healthy getting beat fair and square by some the new “Young Guy" on the grid like Binder, Mir, Olivera, etc.

Now we may have to live with the never ending rationalization of; “If WinOrBin was in his prime he could have won”.
