At this point, Richard Petty, Super Dave Osborne and Travis Pastrana are the only names that haven't been linked to the open Aprilia seat and there is plenty of time to include Pastrana before the weekend is over.

MotoGP FP2 sees the top 18 within one second among fastest times. The top 11 are within .5 of a second. Crazy how tight the times are even at a track where the teams have no data.

Love to see Joe jump to the top level.

The Ape is progressing and certainly only one rider is not helping.
I think they will progress and if Joe jumps it will be an up vs down.

Not many seat going to be available in the next couple years as the OG's are moving out and their is some talent in Moto2 waiting for their opportunity. I think if offered he should jump on it.

Olivera was fast on race pace. At least as of now for me. 13 m left.
Expecting to see him drop as they do time attacks based on the above.

Cool that the FIM gave them extra practice time since it is a new track.

This is one of those things where if you're Joe and if the big show comes calling, you take it. He's already 23, been grinding in Moto2, and even if it is Aprilia, just go. You're not getting younger.

And this track looks so much better with MotoGP cameras on it than WSBK. The undulations, sweepers, and elevation changes are unbelievable. The T15 exit and rise onto the straight and drop into T1 look like so much fun. It makes me think MM would be a second faster per lap than everyone.

The comment about TV flattening the cerquit... makes this place even more awesome. The slow motions over the hill with wheels in the air at a buck fifteen where amazing.

Sure wish I could ride that track.

It is a mix of Sears Point and Laguna on steroids.

Why Zarco is always a moron is beyond me. Dude is riding with a blown motor smoking the track, rides off to the perimeter still smoking, and then rides across track to access the pits whilst smoking across the track surface.
Pit lane commentary from Simon to Booth guys says the Ducati was leaking fluid as well as blowing smoke.
Why he continues to do dumb shit like this is beyond me because it's dangerous to others.

Now the track is closed due to this French dummy. They've got to clean and inspect the track now and it's delayed Q1.
