Just watched the race,Olivera was a machine!
So glad Miller made that killer pass and took second!
Next year should be good.

There's the rounds by manufacturer. Honda laid a goose egg this season.

Yep, 6 of those Yamaha wins were Petronas, and 2 KTM wins were Tech3, definitely the year of the satellite team. Bring on more of the same in 2021!

With Quartararo, Miller, Bagnaia, and Oliveira all moving to factory teams, its unlikely we'll see the satellite teams do as well next year unless Morbidelli continues his form and A. Marquez, Nakagami, Zarco and Lecuona go on a wild run. Morbidelli and Zarco will probably get the best results of that group.

Someone on Reddit joked that it was smart of Rossi to move the better Yamaha team.

Its probably worth pointing out that the definition of a satellite team is changing. Satellite teams used to be a lot more removed from the factories. Now the satellite teams are more like extensions of the factory teams, just working out of a different garage and not getting as many first class airline tickets.

I'm actually very interested in what rossi does at petronas. They seem like a well sorted team maybe he will actually find more success there.

Only if they put him on the ‘19

Franky rocks it to the podium and the 20’s suck it for just a few points.

Honestly, I don't really understand the resistance to giving the satellites the top shelf bikes. I mean, I guess it was in Repsol's contract with Honda for a long time that only they got the good stuff from Honda, but that seems to have been abandoned for a few years now.

What incentive do the manufacturers have for withholding the new bikes? It turned out to be a good thing for the satellites this year, but this year has been a fluke.
