R1 vs. Nissan 240sx (vid)

Sorry, low quality video.

http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=240-vs-bike

The 240 has a RB swap from a skyline. Claimed at 750whp at time of the above race. Now is claimed to be 958whp at 33psi on a dynojet.

heated i6 sounds so great !

750whp 240 vs 600rr... yeh, i think the bike was trying.
if u think about it they both will run about the same 1/4 mile times. 750 whp will put a car into 10s or low 11s 1/4 mile

you are right, it is a 600RR. if the bike weighs 430 lbs and has 105 hp, and the car weighs 3000 lbs and has 750 hp, then both vehicles have the same hp:lbs ratio, which is 4 lbs/hp. now if you race that suped up car against a R1 that weighs 445 lbs and has 158 rwhp you get a hp:lbs ratio of 2.8 lbs/hp. on paper the stock R1 should win. the car is going to have a HUGE advantage at high speeds due to the aerodynamics. if you put a suped up R1 against that car it would be a more fair contest even if the car has 950 rwhp, which would give it an hp:lbs ratio of 3.1 lbs/hp. i figure a suped up R1 could have 180 rwhp and if you lighten the bike 50 lbs you would have a lbs to hp ratio of 2.1 lbs/hp. the bike should win that contest even with the bad aerodynamics.

don't forget the weight of the ride in your calculations.

the weight of the rider/driver was too much of a varible. the numbers i used were my best guess for weight of the bike(wet) and the car(curb). i even took into account that the car must be lighter than stock by at least a two hundred pounds.

the car is most likely closer to 2700 lbs. 3000 is considerably over. The engine is a I6 RB26DETT(T) (2.6 Litre inline 6). I love turbo inline 6s, pure beauty....

It's an early model R1. Notice the rounder headlights and the pipe. Well, not that it matters because that's still a F@cking fast car.
