Wish I could attend.

I still remember the Ducati Hypermotard demo session that they held there when the bike was new. It was a pretty good place for test rides. That was the time when some guy was told when the ride was supposed to start and he claimed that he misunderstood and thought he could go ride until then. I'm sure there's a thread around here someplace about the "stolen" Hyper that was recovered down 84 by the fire station.

I will go to chat look and sit (super important to a medium tall OG with a fake knee). No desire to ride as it would be a hassle and pretty worthless in terms of understanding what is underneath me other a little motor love.

I went a few years ago - total waste of time. Signed in and had to wait two hours so we went to get food in HMB. Came back and four of us got on different bikes in our time slot. Maybe 11 people total in our group. Lead bike took off and we went 45 mph (or slower) down to Alpine road where we turned around and came back never exceeding 50mph. Pretty pointless IMO. KTM needs to do a demo day out at a winery in Napa or similar and allow the ride to go longer than 15 min....

They could do it at TriValley Moto in Livermore. I've done Aprilia, Triumph, and Moto Guzzi demo truck rides out there in Livermore and they were pretty good. They take Collier Canyon out to Highland then come back on Livermore Ave and get a short stretch of freeway in. If you have a decent leader and aren't stuck behind some slow newbie, you can learn quite a bit about a bike on that loop.

They've actually done this a couple years ago out at a Sonoma winery. We went out for about 20 mins, def. went over 50mph on back country roads.

I suspect the contractor determines duration by how many asses need to get on seats that day. Has to take boots of to use their toes and fingers doing the math?

the road is really bumpy though, i guess you'll see how the bike handles bumpy roads. The ego was so rough on that road

I see it as a good suspension test.
