Damn man, rough end to the trip. Thankfully you're not hurt so its just a learning experience and a little wallet damage.

To further explain why I owed Theo breakfast: We were riding in Marin county the previous weekend when I decided that losing my CBR key in tall grass would be a great idea. After an exhausting, futile search, it was gone and I borrowed Theo's bike to ride into SF and get a key made at Golden Gate cycles. while he waited with my other riding buddy with my bike up near Mt Tam. 4 hours after the ordeal started, I returned with a key. If you believe in fate and such, looks like Darrell was your payback for helping me out. Now I just gotta look around for someone to help.

I rode from SLO to Berkeley today, was a pretty nice ride.
started in San Luis Obispo
took US101 North to Paso Robles
took Indian Valley Road which turned into Peach Tree Road, to CA198
to CA25 (essentially a continuation of Peach Tree) up through Hollister, back to US101, to more boring freeway back to Berkeley

and a pic I took at Peach Tree Rd and CA198, looking down Peach Tree (yes, I'm kinda crazy for carrying that large of a backpack):

good luck on your bike.

Damn, it's nice to hear that there are still people out there that gives a shit about others. I have faith in humanity afterall...but just a little bit. I usually pull over to help when I see people in the side. Glad to hear you made it back in one piece!

R6 as first bike, only riding a couple of months, got too excited, crashed. Sorry, I don't see anything unusual or informational about this story. Maybe it's just the weather that's got me in a bad mood.

I'll bet that's all it is, bad weather can make anyone grumpy.
We have enough youth, how about a fountain of smart instead?

Yeah, I was grateful to the nice guy who said to me in the emergency room, "aw, this was your 6-month crash, it's pretty common, and you'll get back on and be fine."

Nice trip, despite the unplanned mud wallow. I've been up 33, and it is really remote and quite challenging in places--beautiful, though. 25 is lovely too, though fewer twisties.

Good luck fixin' up, builds character, glad you weren't hurt!

I always take a few trips down to San Diego in the Spring and Summer Let me know then so maybe we can ride together........
Knowledge vs. Character--
Knowledge will give you power, but character respect.

Use The Ego that you have as a tool--
Those who are materialistic still hold onto the ego as though it were a possession, rather than using it as a tool. Inwardly, psychologically, go ahead don't worry and be a nobody.
