How bad is the track condition at Sonoma these days?

In this thread https://bayarearidersforum.com/forum...php?p=10732652

Berto mentioned how bad the track looked,

youtu.be/BJG097vIf-I
and in a post I made with video from 10 years ago,
https://bayarearidersforum.com/forum...d.php?t=548634
someone mentioned how good it looked:

We all hate tar snakes, I'm wondering at what point the track becomes dangerously overdue for repaving?
Are the tar snakes they use as sketchy as the ones they use on public streets?

It was bad two years ago. It's worse now. Yeah, you get to dodge grass, snakes, ruts, bumps, and loose surface.

I rode Sonoma with PTT in February and with Carter’s in March. I was pleased to see that they have been working on the track surface, it’s better than it was last year.

Is it perfect? No. Is it dangerous? No.

Looking forward to riding Monday with Carter’s!

Didnít seem any better to me. Turn 7 seemed worse than I ever remember it. Not bad enough to stop me riding there, though. Iíll be there Monday as well.

rode Carters yesterday and honestly it wasn't THAT bad... worst part for me was between T2 & T3 where it feels bumpy AF but other than that, all the same. The Carousel has that long square patch but it's not on the race line..

Frankly, no issues... This coming from a guy who rode Eagles Canyon in Texas where water used to seep up on a few turns and you would have wet patches here or there.

Is it worth the extra dough to ride there? Well that depends.. for me, it's great because it's a same day trackday and just 45 minutes away so I will definitively be going back whenever my schedule allows.

Had fun yesterday with Carter’s. I’d go racing there

If too rough, I could always loan you your old 310 back for the weekend. ....however top speed would be limited with the gearing I have on it now..

I gave the new SV650 a run in last Oct...no real complaints...other than the bikes need some fine tuning and about 100 more horse power.

Great little bikes.
