Anyone missing a 250P bike?

There is a ninja 250 in race trim that recently turned up abandoned in my neighborhood in SF. It is a bit rough, but in a condition that I doubt anyone meant to just dispose if it, even though putting stuff on the street as a means of disposal has a long and proud history in my zip code.

PM me for details if your fleet is short one ninjette.

Will be calling it in to SFPD tomorrow. Really hoping to find the owner without PD help, as they will send it to impound, and if it ever finds a rightful owner (I know we ALL keep our track bikes fully reg'd...) the impound fees will be half the value of the bike. Am holding off on photo simply because it makes the old "describe it's identifying characteristics and take it home" system a bit pointless, especially assuming a possibility of no paperwork. It should be very easy for the rightful owner to ID.

Good call, well props to you for trying to find the owner!

I have a truck and work near SF at LeoVince, if the bike needs a ride to its owner hit me up!

It is a old style EX250 currently sporting a novice plate that is not assigned to anyone in any of the years that are searchable on the AFM site. Not trying to be obtuse about this, just want the rightful owner to get it back with a minimal amount of hassle.

Not that one, sorry. I spent a bunch of time today looking through the various track photographers' archives trying to find a pic of the bike in question on track. Sadly, no hits. Posted up on CL as well.

No worries. I sold it cheap last year. Was hoping it hadn't fallen completely apart yet.

Can you PM pictures of the bike in question? I'm pretty sure I would recognize most of the 250's raced in the AFM over the last few years.
