Iím referring to last year, in Argentina when, last time I checked, Marquez was way faster than anyone else and did a bunch of stupid shit that he didnít need to do.

Maybe youíll remember?

Crutchlow is not happy with Freddie Spencer https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/91...-start-penalty

Which begs the question, how long has it been since anyone’s been happy with Freddie Spencer?

MM always does stupid shit. He made a fairing banging race pass on somebody this weekend, I think in FP2, that was just stupid, dangerous, and completely unneeded, which also describes his race style. He can win without that shit, but he loves to intimidate.

okay,it was a jump start. he gained nothing from it so the penalty definitely didnt match the crime, but it was still technically a jump start. video doesnt lie. at least he didnt put it in pit lane mode like Jorge did at the start

I was hoping they'd send him through the new penalty lane or whatever they call it.

Looks like a jump start to me. I believe the rule is no movement and he was moving. I thought he got robbed when they showed the overhead from well down the track but this view changes my mind.

It looks like the bike rolls forward because of his foot position on the ground, not due to clutch engagement. I agree though, that movement is movement.

A long lap as opposed to a ride through would have made the race more interesting.

No. I don't.

Edit: It's just the same story here all the time. Rossi rules and Marquez sucks. It gets tiring when MM can walk on the field, but always gets a strike. There was more bumping in the race, but here comes a reminder that MM made a pass in practice that one didn't like. Of course, we have no idea why that pass was like that. It could have been retaliation. It could have been a mistake. It could have been Marquez just wanted to kill the other rider. But, it certainly was no worse than what has happened to me from AFM riders on a stupid track day.

thanks for posting that video. It sure didn't look like Cal jumped the start but watching it from a side angle, he barely moved

Except where I said he was way faster than anyone else? Also, don’t remember mentioning Rossi.

Also, I’d expect better behavior from the those involved in the pinnacle of 2 wheeled racing to be better behaved than track day folks. If people are running into you on track days, you need to be complaining about that.

1. It Was a joke
2. A memorial trophy named after someone is usually when they’re dead.
3. Therefore it doesn’t exist
4. Also it doesn’t exist
5. Don’t take this stuff so seriously. It was a joke. They were talking about it all weekend. Didn’t mean to offend

I honestly liked the kid, until his aggressiveness got out of hand. I even gave him a chance after torpedoing Wiliarot. The crashing under a yellow, almost into the safety crew. The running into multiple folks, including his teammate, and his lack of learning from it, made me give up.

He just needs to relax. He doesn’t need any of that. He is probably the most naturally talented rider in modern GP history.

As an ex-racer (and you as a current one) no one is in this to get hurt or killed. Yes, it’s a possible outcome, but you do everything you can to prevent it. He needs to realize this. Also, a 12 second margin of victory is far more intimidating than running into someone.

This is really hard to talk about with most MM fans I’ve run into. I don’t hate the kid, quite the contrary. I just don’t want him, or someone else, to end up dead or paralyzed.

Also, this has nothing to do with Rossi, which will get brought up.

The kid is an amazing talent. He just takes dumb risks. Once he stops doing that, heíll be unstoppable

Wtf did you guys not read Cal's statement?

Bike moved 1 cm from balancing it on his toes/feet. The clutch was always pulled in.

He also said if this was vale, jlo or mm they would not have this penalty. (Balancing bike and it slightly moves)

And why no penalize via long turn on track????

We need a healthy jlo or this season gonna be as boring as f1
