Notes:

- Prettiest track on the calendar and a great layout (could use more runoff but that ain't happening).

- The absence of a really long straight and several passing zones (if you're brave) could provide some much needed excitement in the SBK races.

- I think the Ten Kate / Loris Baz Yamaha effort debuts this weekend.

- Ducati just had a one day test at Imola.

Rea to come with software updates. I don't think he'll win, but the gap will be closed down.

No Ten Kate this round. They'll debut at Jerez next month. I hope they come out swinging

It a dog fight at the top.

Problem is there is only one dog.... and he rides a Duc.
Still... good racing beyond.

Jeez, they announced the team before Aragon. I was hoping to see them on track by now.

with Duc doing well here in prev years, I expect more of the same from Bautista. maybe Chaz can even put it on the box this time.

Rea says that this round is going to be a turning point for Kawk, but i am pretty sure he's said the same thing before every round this year haha.

Bautista gonna dominate, especially with those long straights. Gigi lives down the street so he'll be there for sure, offering his positive vibes and rule bending tactics to aruba.it

Rea may have to say some corporate speak to put a spin on the beating he and Kaw are taking but thats nothing compared to the statements Leon Camier has to cough up each weekend. I've been reading his quotes because they are like a car crash; you can't look away. Here is Camier's quote ahead of Imola

Leon Camier 2
“I love Imola, it’s a really good track and I enjoy riding there. Having said that, I expect it to be tough to be honest. The layout is very physical and there are a lot of details we need to get right in terms of the bike’s setup. I think it will be a challenging weekend for us, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will be warmer than Assen and allow us to take advantage of every session to prepare for the races. We’ll try our best and will see what happens.”

Rea and Davies fastest after Day 1 at Imola. Not expecting different results than the rest of the season but maybe some racing up front?

Eugene Laverty has no luck. Broke both wrists in an FP1 crash. He's headed to Barcelona to see a specialist. No word on a substitute rider for Team Go Eleven Ducati. Anyone have Mattia Pasini's phone number?

Bummer for Laverty...

Broken wrists suck.. and two of them. Wow.
I remember a buddy who broke both and we got him a hand free ass wiper

He was single and his butt still made

We were caring friends.

I wonder if Bautista not being up front is because this is not a MotoGP track and he needs some time to get up to speed.
