Allow me the temerity of saying that Marquez has set the next level : 1-the strong 2-the Aliens 3-the Invincible. This is fitting. As a body, MotoGP riders clearly represent the bravest group of racers in motor sports.

He and his team got one right today in many regards by running the S/S Slick combo in Q1.
Not only did he set a fast time, but he got the other teams to call in their riders for a slick swap. Had that not happened Q1 might have been tight.

Then in Q2 all the Yamaha minus Morbidelli ran the S/S combo and then had to swap. I actually think that helped Rossi become the best Yamaha because the other guys got thrown off their game.

Step in the right direction. He's had podium pace so far this season and has been hampered by shit qualifying.

I don't know about that.

I’ll second that claim with an anecdote shared by Neil Hodgson,
an adoptive IoM resident who took the Boz Broz to view the show
for a shared 1st time mebbe 15 yrs back

he’d always been a closed-circuit racer, never done the TT -
while the Cali boyz reveled in the excitement of it all,
NH100 was bent over in the bushes, puking like a Cal frosh,
after experiencing fear/fright/astonishment for his TT-riding pals

My comment was vague. I meant to contrast with 4 wheelers. Thanks for the correction.
