Where is everybody?

At least as far back as last fall Folsom St has been a parking lot at all hours, it's been sidewalk gridlock throughout Soma, the onramps have moved like meat grinders jammed with molasses and wasps, and the only space on Bart has been in the damp embrace of a stranger's armpit.

Since Monday it's all changed. I got a seat on Bart. I crossed 9th Street without having to go around a box blocker. Getting on the bay bridge has been smooth and uneventful.

I'm not complaining, I just don't understand. It's not ski week. It's not spring break (or is it?). Did the rapture happen and I just didn't know anyone good? Were there 100k layoffs in downtown SF that I didn't hear about?

I'm entertaining any and all theories.

It's been weirdly light traffic in the south bay too. Just a little light though.

Spring and ski breaks fall all over the place depending on the school district. I dont know though

BWAHAHAH
I kinda agree. I had the same thought around 4pm when I walked around ... But decided it's either some vacation weekend or it was a small figment of my imagination , not worthy of mentioning.

That, or all flights into SFO are grounded so people can't come ??

My school always had spring break surrounding St patricks day to best avoid the inevitable shenanigans. Worked ok if it was mid week but when on the weekends students would just adjust when they left town. I assume it's the same still. So they will hang out until they sober up on Tuesday and leave for the rest of the week.
