2nd time in a week, then 2nd time in a day

Last week I mentioned that for the first time, ever, an LEO (CHP) returned a friendly wave from me. I pretty much wave at everyone on a motorcycle, and if they just so happen to be an LEO, that's nice, too.

Anyway, I was sort of half-shocked last week, but the other day...

I was riding through Princeton By The Sea, near Pillar Point, and I saw 5 bikes in formation coming in the oncoming lane. I waved and 3 of them returned the wave, all 5 were CHP... wow. That brought a smile, but I didn't have my Contour camera on. Darn.

Coming back a few hours later, I saw the same group of CHP up on Sklyline, south of 92, in the oncoming lane, and I had just switched the camera on.

3 out of 5 waved back, again! I got a fleeting shot of them waving, but the light was sun-shade-sun-shade-sun etc. so it's not very clear, but you get the idea.

Twice, in a day. It's great to be able to help the CHP recruits with their training, right?

I like that. Yesterday up at STP there was a San Mateo Sherrif. He'd just sit and wait for people to roll the stop sign. Pulled them over immediately. I guess maximum money for minimal effort.

The way MFs be driving these days...I get this hopeful feeling whenever I see traffic enforcement. As long as they aren't enforcing me too much.

I don't think I've ever had CHP not wave back. Most local LE, in cruisers, too.

I always wave. Even when they have a radar/lidar gun pointed at me. Why? Because regardless of any other issues when bikes and cars collide the bikes lose. We have a something in common that way.

I always wave to cops while riding.

Because I'm liking breaking laws and it can't hurt.
